    The Jersey Miniere Zinc Company (in Montgomery County, Tennessee) operated as a zinc ore processing plant from 1978 to 1994.
    In 1994, Savage Resources of Sydney, Australia purchased the facility and named it Savage Zinc.
    The site is currently registered as an active superfund site by the Environmental Protection Agency due to contamination.
