This beautiful pointed vase / handle bowl in a flowing shape is made using Sommerso technology, which was only invented by Carlo Scarpa for the Venini & C. manufacture in the second half of the 1930s. This is glass that is covered with another layer of colorless or differently colored glass. This technique was adopted by many other manufacturers, which achieved very different results. The vase is made using traditional methods (hand-blown) and comes from Italy, Murano, in the period around 1960 - 1970.
The vase is a real work of art. The inner layer of purple glass is covered in blue at the bottom and colorless glass on the outside. The floor is hand-sanded. The play of colors looks different from Allen sides! The vase is a real gem in every ambience and a real eye-catcher!
